Best Portable Pop-Up Soccer Goals
Pop-Up Soccer Goals: The Why…
Having a set of portable soccer goals for every age group just isn’t practical sometimes. If you’re coaching under 8’s, under 9’s and under 16’s all in the same day, having a set of goals for each age group is going to be pure hassle.
That’s not even taking into consideration if you’re soccer coach who coaches in multiple venues across various locations.
Imagine having to pack and unpack your car every time you had a session.
As a soccer coach you care about your training sessions. You care about your players and how they develop.
But, you need to find a balance.
Of course, if you’ve got the space to store equipment at different venues, then by all means take your sessions up a level and tailor your sessions to your player’s needs.
However, if you’re like most soccer coaches you’ll want to be able to get the most out of your sessions AND players while keeping thing’s simple.[wpsm_titlebox title=”Pop Up Soccer Goals 2019″ style=”4″][wpsm_toplisth3][/wpsm_titlebox] [wpsm_titlebox title=”Whats The Big Deal With Pop Up Soccer Goals Anyway?” style=”3″]
How To Be An Efficiently Simple Soccer Coach
The first time I tried packing away a set of pop-up goals was an experience to say the least! Turning, twisting, standing on and just looking stupid with these pop-up soccer nets.
But, I got the hang of it byt the 2nd or 3rd time I’d used them.
Now? I can pack them away quicker than Usain Bolt can run a 100 meters.
Pop-up soccer goals aren’t just extremely easy to set-up and fold away however, they’re also;
- Surprisingly Durable: They’ll last a long time if you store them properly and safely
- Stupidly Easy to Store: Talking about storage, pop-up soccer goals can be folded flat and stored easily
- Portable: All the pop-up soccer goals below come with a carry case making it really easy to carry a few at a time
- Fold Down in Seconds: Twist, fold and pack away. You’ll be able to finally give Usain a run for his money too!
- Flexible: This one’s important – If you’re using them with smaller age groups they’ll take a lot of bending and standing on before they give way!
- Time Saver: If you coach slightly older children, then save yourself some time and energy and get the players to set up the pop-up goal themselves
- Suitable for ALL Age groups: As I mentioned above, pop-up soccer goals are perfect if you coach multiple groups of different ages
- Great for Indoors: You won’t be able to use the stakes of course, but for younger age groups they’re fantastic for indoor halls and buildings.
- Usually Sold in Packs of Two’s!: Which is perfect not only for the coach who wants to save time but a few dollars in the process too!
- Extremely Affordable: Pop-up soccer goals are affordable even for the most tightest of budgets.
Having worked (do I call it work?!) as a soccer coach for the best part of 11 years now, I would have no hesitation in recommending that every soccer coach, new and old has at least 1 set of pop-up soccer goals ready to be pulled out.
They’re a great investment, that’ll will provide stability and a foundation for your training sessions so your player’s development can come first.

Just a quick side note. Most of the pop-up goals below are built very similarly.
To assemble the net: Un-tie the small Velcro strap and let the goals just ‘pop-up’!
To pack away: Find the arrows on the bottom of the goals and twist the goal in the direction of that arrow. Fasten the Velcro and put them in the bag.
Sold in Pairs: Unless stated, all the goals below come as set of two.
Top 3 Best Portable Pop-Up Soccer Goals
Pop-Up Soccer Goal #1: GOLME PRO Pop-Up Soccer Goal Review[wpsm_divider top=”20px” bottom=”20px” style=”solid”] [wpsm_divider top=”20px” bottom=”20px” style=”solid”]
GOLME have got this portable goal thing down to a tee!
With 3 options; 2.5ft, 4ft and 6ft you now have the chance to have all the basic necessary sizes needed to challenge players of ALL ages.
If you’d prefer to grab all the sizes, storing won’t become any harder. They all fold flat and are extremely easy to store next to each other.
The GOME PRO Pop-Up Soccer goal also comes with anchoring stakes, which if you’re coaching outside on grass, will come in handy if you don’t want to constantly keep chasing the goals down the field!
Pop-Up Soccer Goal #2: PUGG Portable Pop-Up Training Goal Review[wpsm_divider top=”20px” bottom=”20px” style=”solid”] [wpsm_divider top=”20px” bottom=”20px” style=”solid”]
If I’m not mistaken, I think PUGG are the originals when it comes to pop-up goals.
Again with the same set up as most of our other pop-up goals, PUGG goals can be set up and packed away in no time at all.
With PUGG, you’re given a few more options.
In addition to having 2.5ft, 4ft and 6ft goals, you can also get them in different colors. If you’re looking for that extra professional look then have a quick look to see if they have your teams colors here.
Also, PUGG do have an option of buying 1 goal – great if you’re looking for a replacement goal.
PUGG goals were the first pop-up goals I’ve experienced. They hold up really well, even with older players. What I would say however is, make sure they are stored properly (like all the goals) and try not to get your players bouncing all over them!
They’re goals at the end of the day – not bouncy castles!
Pop-Up Goal #3: ROBO Pop-Up Soccer Goal Review[wpsm_divider top=”20px” bottom=”20px” style=”solid”] [wpsm_divider top=”20px” bottom=”20px” style=”solid”]
They do currently only come in one size – 4ft. However, if you’re just looking to use them with younger age groups then this shouldn’t be a problem.
Stakes, a carry case and coming in a pair keeps this goal within touching distance of GOLME and PUGG. The stakes being extremely useful for those windy days! No more chasing your goals half way down the training field!
The one thing that did stand out for me was the access and simplicity of having a choice between 4 different colors; Blue, Red, Yellow and Black all on the same page.
Coming in at only 3lbs, the ROBO pop up soccer goals are a perfect weight to keep them ultra portable. Overall, fantastic looking goals for a really good price.
How efficiently simply are YOUR training sessions?
The great thing about pop-up soccer goals is they;
- Can be packed and unpacked in record time
- Have no stupidly annoying ‘dangly’ bits
- Very durable with ALL ages
- Suitable for all ages too
- Can be stored almost anywhere both lying flat AND standing up on it’s side.
And while I don’t really allow my players to mess with any goal, these goals are safe enough for them to carry across to your pitch or training area.
Whether you’re a new coach or you’ve been in the game for a long time now, a set of portable pop-up soccer goals should form the foundation of your equipment.
All the pop-up soccer goals above, the GOLME, PUGG and the SUESPORT are highly durable, extremely portable and are available even if you’re on a tight budget.
Setting up each goal takes no less than a few seconds, however the first few times of packing it away might be a little confusing.
But once you have the ‘knack’, which in all honesty is pretty simple (there are instructional arrows on the side of the net) you’ll have them packed away in the same time it took you to set them up.
Portable pop-up soccer goals are really as simple as the name suggests. And if you’re looking to save money and time while supporting your players development, then I highly recommend you grab a set a pop-up goals.
You’ll be glad you did!
